Why Ayurveda for Arthritis?

Our Treatment
A standard treatment protocol is followed in all patients owing to their presenting complaints, the intensity of symptoms, and associated medical ailments. External therapies like Janu basti, Kati basti, Mrudu abhyanga, patra pinda sweda, Churna pinda sweda and Kashaya Dhaara are planned according to the prevailing condition. Ayurveda for arthritis mainly involves panchakarma treatments like basti (enema) and virechana (Detox) which are carried out in certain cases. These Ayurvedic treatments are followed by herbal medicines with a course of 1-3 months respectively. Dietary advice and lifestyle changes are advised to all the patients with the inclusion of yoga and exercises.
Why Ayurveda for Spondylitis?
Ayurveda is highly effective for treating spondylitis because it addresses the condition holistically, focusing on restoring balance in the body’s doshas, particularly Vata, which governs joint movement and flexibility. Ayurvedic treatments aim to reduce inflammation, alleviate pain, and improve mobility through natural remedies such as anti-inflammatory herbs, customized dietary plans, and detoxifying therapies. Panchakarma therapies like Abhyanga (oil massage) and Basti (medicated enema) help relieve muscle stiffness, improve circulation, and restore flexibility to the spine. By focusing on the root cause and offering long-term solutions, Ayurveda provides a safe and natural way to manage spondylitis, reduce symptoms, and improve quality of life.
